Rizzoli Bookstore in NoMad

Rizzoli — one of NoMad’s greatest treasures — has been a New York City institution for almost 60 years. One of the world’s leading independent bookstores, the company started its own publishing division in 1974 and is well-known for its beautifully crafted illustrated tomes on fashion, art, photography, interior design, pop-culture, and culinary arts. The warm and inviting store, located just three blocks north of Madison Square Park, is also home to a meticulously curated assortment of European and domestic publications, novels, and other literary gems. But the jewel in its crown is not so much on the page as it is of the page — in fact, Rizzoli’s prolific events model, a who’s who of authors, experts, and celebrity guests, is the cultural heart of the neighborhood. Events — most are complimentary — typically draw capacity crowds and are designed to spark conversation and creativity.
