L’Adresse NoMad, NYC
A neighborhood dining treasure, L’Adresse NoMad in NYC has earned over 40 national and international awards for hospitality. Named for its welcoming environment and renowned for serving up contemporary American cuisine with an international twist, founder Evgeny Zhuravlev’s beautiful eatery is focused on using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. From the stunning bar to the diverse menu, L’Adresse NoMad is a favorite spot for locals and a savvy choice for business diners — the bright modern decor and well-planned acoustics are the ideal backdrop for conversation.
The team from NOMAD Magazine has dined in the warm, collaborative, and family-like restaurant several times, where staff describes Zhuravlev as “the best boss ever.” No matter the day or the time, service was attentive and helpful, the food delicious. During our second visit, our waiter was even able to recall our previous orders (impressive!).
Meals start with a plate of signature in-house baked brown bread and a side of creamy butter. Dense, with a hint of sweetness, diners often order a loaf to take home. During our visits, we sampled our way through the menu, from the tuna tartare to the mini Wellington (a favorite) to the truffle burger. To say there is something for everyone here would not be an understatement — prime cuts, elegant seafood dishes, inventive salads, and delicious pastas compliment a raw bar, a variety of small plates, and traditional favorites like burgers and truffle fries on the dinner menu. The brunch menu includes matcha French toast, waffle and kaarage (a Japanese chicken and waffle creation), and shakshuka (a traditional Middle Eastern egg dish), along with a selection of eggs and omelets, soups and sandwiches.
Before its opening in July 2021, the L’Adresse team worked with Sasha Petrosky, a legend in the world of cocktails and founder of the famed Milk & Honey to create an unparalleled drink menu. Well- stocked with fresh fruit purees, homemade syrups, and mixers, the bar serves up signature treasures — like the Sweet Spring, a clever mix of fresh strawberry puree, Tito’s vodka, vermouth, lime, cucumber, and cane sugar — along with a host of tried-and-true favorites and an impressive wine list. (On Monday nights, select wines are offered at a half-off discounted price.)
In addition to its regular service, the restaurant has an event room that seats 16. “NoMad is a perfect setting for storytelling,” said manager Amy Nguyen. “We hope to use the location to offer educational culinary dinners.” A recent pre-fixe night featured an in-depth tasting of the Dalmore Single Malt expertly paired with each course, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays live jazz bands play during a social hour with special prices on drink and menu items.
Conveniently located along the NoMad Piazza on Broadway between 28th and 29th Street, L’Adresse NoMad in NYC is open daily from 5 pm to 11 pm and serves brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
